BenCutLaser / Adobe Illustrator DXF Export Issue (RESOLVED)
« on: August 22, 2017, 04:28:53 AM »
hi,

I'm a profissional graphic designer but never used CAD softwares, what I'm doing now is design my cuts in Adobe Illustrator CC and export it to DXF. When I open the design in BenCut it appears to be very big while I'm designing in mm and BenCut working area is set to A4 size in mm.

I tried to save the design in SVG then convert it online to DXF then open it in QCad then save it again in different DXF file then open it in BenCut, but it's a long confusing process that my life as he**!

Is there anyway to be able to export designs from Illustrator to DXF and open it in BenCut the right way without all that long process?

Thanks

Projects / Wood box with exhaust fan setup
« on: August 16, 2017, 09:58:16 AM »
I've been working on this project for about 2 weeks Now, finally I finished it and I'm testing it.

Everything seems to work super

The wood I used is 18mm which was a bad choice since it turned out so heavy but it's ok.

I painted the inside with deep black colour to observe light.

I bought a powerful fan which is used in RC racing cars and designed simple box for it to use it as air assist solution.

Any comments?

Trouble Shooting / Problem cutting plywood
« on: August 11, 2017, 02:19:54 PM »
Hi,

I'm using BenCutLaser to cut 3mm plywood and it works fine when i test shapes in the application, but when i make large cuts on A4 size sheet it cuts parts and make it through the whole 3mm but other parts it couldn't.

I attached a photo for more explanation.

I have 5.5w GearBest machine.

In BenCutLaser i used speed of 300, Power 100% and 4 Passes.

General Discussion / Laser Module Lifespan
« on: July 24, 2017, 02:18:36 AM »
Hi,

I'm willing to start a small business and I need to study the cost of my machine consumption.

My question is what is the lifespan of the laser module ? mine is the same as this link:

I believe it's measured by working hours!

Hi

I purchased T2laser and BenBoxLaser and they are awesome apps and works well with my machine

I have a small problem, I can't get straight lines specially horizontal lines.

I thought belts are too tight or loose I checked them and fixed them as much as I can but nothing changed

I have 5.5w laser diode with Grbl 1.1e EleksMaker

Projects / Monitor the machine by a webcam
« on: July 16, 2017, 02:12:14 AM »
Hi

I'm thinking of using a good quality webcam to monitor the machine work without the need to look at it or use glasses.

Is it possible the blue laser light blinds the cam ? Any suggestions ?

I have 5.5w blue laser 445nm

« on: July 10, 2017, 10:37:58 AM »
Hi,

I have this issue where my machine can't make straight lines.

I checked steppers belt and tightened them as much as i can (not too much not too loos)

But still can't get perfect circle line or square line.

I attached some photos to show my problem.
