T2 Engraving / Re: Does T2Laser have error log?
« on: September 09, 2020, 10:38:59 AM »
Just have to say after change the nano and add a tiny fan it looks like it works.

So far so good :)

Is that any free simulator that can show some kind of result how it going to look when is finnish?

When I use my CNC mill I use CAMotics, but when I for fun open the g-code that is create with T2Laser it does not show show much more then where it going to burn.

I did try to engraving a picture today and notice when it was finnish that the picture maybe was to bright so most of the head did not show (did not burn there)
so I was hoping it was some software that can tell me how it going to look.

Thanks for the replay.
I did not notice that you have write to me (I did forgot to check Notify me on replies)

I did try again with no USB extender but same problem but this time it was around 70 % done it stop working.

Hmm good idea about the enable the Simple Streaming. I do not feel to disable Fail-Safe Mode because I'm not sure it going to disable the laser if it stand still.

That I have is no EleksMaker but something like it so it not a original.

Can you tell me what kind of Nano I can buy to make it go better?
Have no problem to buy a original or a clone to get it to work?

Discovered that the one I have now has none heatsink so that with a fan can be a good idea :)

I have T2Laser software and a 2W Laser that I engraving in wood and most if the time it works fine (I'm new to laser so I have not done so much yet)
I have been curious about acrylic engraving so I have search here and other places and I get different answers but I maybe misunderstand what they mean.

So run fast/slow and power high/low (the new version of T2Laser show it in procent)

I plan to test something later in the week but would be happy if anyone has suggestions what to start with or recommend any settings for 3mm acrylic

The acrylic I have have no paper just a small transparent plastic cover

T2 Engraving / Does T2Laser have error log?
« on: August 23, 2020, 11:34:04 AM »
I have try to burn three things this weekend but only one succeed
Two of them give me

Error Detected!
Sending Aborted

Not sure why it does this.
I running the 1.1e that I upload from the program.

The sad thing is that the work takes 6 hours to drive but the error comes when there is only 10 percent left.

Maybe is the cable I don't know so I was wonder if the log show any error.
I can try again tomorrow with another cable but when it take 6 hour and don't know if it going to work or not then is not so fun.

1. Ahh ok then I know that, I do not run your firmware yet. I'm just afraid I going to do something that my machine does not work anymore but I think is a good idea that I do run you firmware soon.

2. Hmm ok so 5 is ok to run good to know that :)

3. hmm ok thanks good to know that.

I have just buy the software and I like it alot but I have three questions

1) Can I see somewhere calc how long time is going to take from start to finnish? Right now I just see procent but like to have time too so I know how long is going to take.
2) Is it anyway I can see how big wood I need to have to use. I mean is it possible to make the software run a frame with so low power so it does not burn but I can see where is going to be.
3) What I read from manufacture is a good idea if the work is going to take over a hour it cool down 15 min before continues. I don't know how long some engraving can take but if that is possible to if the software notice this is going to take more then a hour it take a brake about 15 min before continues.

Benbox / Re: Just a burn line and no shape or text

As I said, T2Laser works with the Benbox firmware so you don't need to change anything to test it. You can check if your machine works using the free trial with the Benbox firmware.

Sorry I did not read that and I did install T2Laser and I did love it alot.
Simple and easy to use and I also did see I can upgrade the firmware from the software.
So I going to buy the software tomorrow (is late here and I have the computer off that is connect to the machine).

Trying now to make a backup of the firmware.

If I got it to work where can I get Grbl 1.1 firmware and can I use Benbox to upgrade the firmware?

Is some cheap machine that I bought but have seen that someone else has bought a similar one,3954.0.html

Have thought about it or made a backup of firmware and then upgraded but do not really know which version to upgrade or found a suitable guide.

I'm curious how it goes.
I have same machine and hardware so I'm curious if you got it to work with T2

Thanks for the replay and it does sound greate.

I maybe going to do a upgrade but curious about it a little and also curious why it does not work for me with Benbox.

Not sure if I have done it wrong somehow or what I can do to get it to work like that I have now.

The problem I have now is I'm not sure if that is the software error or hardware error.
I also notice that T2Laser have a trial and then cost money so I guess that I have to first upgrade the firmware and then install the software and if I don't know if that is the hardware then
I still going to have problem.

My idea is maybe first make it work with benbox and see if everything works fine and after that maybe upgrade and then buy a T2Laser licens.
