Set straight again. I had used an Epilog at our FabLab and it uses the top left as home.  I don't really care where it is as long as I know where it should be.  Its obvious I have a serious case of operator error here.  I have the feeling it may be awhile before it fades away.

Thanks guys.  Its always the simple things that cause big problems.   The ctrl-click on the job key did the trick.  At least  now know the front from the rear or at least the frame of reference most people are using.

Where do you guys set the laser home?  I was always under the impression it was the top left point of the work surface.

I am new and need some help.  I have the Eleks 2K laser from Gearbest and trying to get started.   I purchased the T2Laser software and it runs fine, I got the JTech.grbl.hex ROM loaded just fine too. 

I did get it to print both with grbl and T2Laser, but the image was reversed. 

I'm assuming the front of the machine is where the control board is located.   Using that reference, then when I am facing the control board and slew the laser it moves correctly forward and backward (Y-axis), but left and right (X-axis) are reversed.  Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong here? thanks.

General Questions / anyone know about an L5 board?

I've read thru numerous posts on here and most people have an L1 or L2 board.  I got a 2K Eleks from Gearbest and it has an L5 board, or at least the marking looks like L5.  Anyone got any info on this board? compatibility or incompatibility?

I am having the same problem with the exact same machine.  I tried the LX-nano hex and it still does not work.  I wasn't sure which chip to use with the x-loader, so I just loaded it with Benbox.  Anyway, I still can't get Benbox to work, but the slew buttons work, so I know its not the hardware, its the operator.

I think they sent Hillary a couple, because they knew her staff liked gizmos and would be stupid enough to plug it into a server to see what it does.  Its how they hacked/accessed her server and stole all her files.  LOL

nah, its just a USB light.  its kinda cool.  beats no gift at all.
