Hello,
every laser and every material have their settings. you have to do tests.
I for birch use feed 1600 and power 225

have you tried disassembling the lens and cleaning both the laser diode and the lens?

Trouble Shooting / acceleration? dinamic mode?
« on: May 09, 2019, 01:11:07 PM »
I'm trying to do an excellent grayscale.
unfortunately when the laser reverses it leaves more burn.
to get rid of the problem I have to raise acceleration to 3500, but the laser vibrates and leaves a salmon skin effect.
I put acceleration to 2000 trying with the dynamic mode I eliminate the problem but it gets worse scales and the clear part gets thinner.
moreover in the last tests then 100% is lighter than 80% bronze instead of black.
what accelerations do you use? dinamic mode or not?

Trouble Shooting / lost step?
« on: May 07, 2019, 12:59:09 PM »
hi,
i have a strange problem:
I burned the samurai (700x950 0.2res) and it came perfect.
I resampled at 1400x1900 and burned at 0.1res and missed steps.
I burned other things, perfect.
I still burned the samurai (too dark but that's not the problem) and missed the steps again.
every time the line is skipped all the drawing moves to the right.
I didn't stop the work, it stopped by itself, with  laser on.
other prints later are good.
why does this image cause me problems?

T2 Engraving / Re: memory zero position?
« on: May 03, 2019, 01:51:16 PM »
thanks for the speed of the response.
I have the home switches, and I usually carry the laser in 0.0 but a couple of times I forgot and started again in the wrong place.

T2 Engraving / memory zero position?
« on: May 03, 2019, 12:15:21 PM »
Hi everyone,
I have a question on T2:
1 I set homing
2 sets the piece zero
3 start work
4 push the envelope to pause the work and decide that it is not good (x50 y50 coordinates for example)
5 push X and return to the main window to apply changes to the image
- I generate gcode again

and in laser controller the coordinates are now x0 y0 (machine and piece)
Am I doing something wrong or do I need to remember always to reposition lasers in 0.0 before step 5?
it would be nice to go back to the controller and find the coordinates where they were
thanks

Engraving / Re: Large Engraving
« on: April 24, 2019, 04:26:46 AM »
to have the exact positions of the parties make three copies of the total image, to each one eliminate the 2 unwanted parts. you will have a large empty space with the only part to be engraved. however the origin of the three images will be the same

I use a xy firmware with endstop on d9 and d10.
Ok, I need to do more test.  >:(

I'm asking: what happens and what is displayed when a limitswitch is activated (or assumed)
I suspect I still have problems with false endstop activation
the manual movements do not give me problems, I think it is due to the high speeds of the movements in velocitÓ mode

I envy you, I went crazy with normal cables.
t2 what does it do with endstop activation?
I set the gray scale in velocity mode and tried to burn an image but after a 2-4% it stops; in the message box he only writes "sending ...."

Trouble Shooting / Re: Image generates Gcode, 8 lines worth!
« on: April 05, 2019, 07:14:01 AM »
it was only a matter of time, t2 is a nice software
I tried 2 - 3 old computers and had to choose which one to use.
I was also involved in the hardware upgrade and didn't have time to learn how t2 worked
lasergbrl does less things but is immediately evident
