Laser Safety
« on: February 17, 2017, 12:09:16 PM »
There is a lot of information about laser safety on the internet. For the safety of your eyes, Google and read about laser safety.

Everyone who buys, builds (option) and operates a laser machine is responsible for using it safely -- and -- is also responsible for the safety of others who are around the machine when it is in use.

By far the biggest safety issue is the wearing of laser safety goggles with the correct wave length rating for the laser diode they are using. If you buy another laser diode, you may also have to buy different laser safety goggles. I have 4 or 5 laser diodes but they are have the same wave length rating range so I can use the same safety goggles with any of them.

Another safety issue is to NEVER leave your laser machine running unattended! Never!
