laser not focusing to a point

Hi!  I bought a new laser diode to replace my old one for my a3 pro. I bought an original eleksmaker EL01-2.5w (same 2500 mw as the original one) but it is not working properly as the laser itself can't be focused to a point but kind of a line..  Even when unfocused, the unfocused beam itself does not look round as it happenned with the original one.

Can I fix it someway? I tried using the original one lens but it did not work.

Higher powered laser diodes have a bar emitter but it is unusual for a 2.5W module, is it possible you got a 5.5W not a 2.5W?

at least on the back of the module itself it says EL01-2.5W.  Same as the original one

I have 2 of the 2.5W modules and the beam is a rectangle. I often focus it so the beam is at 45 degrees tat way horizontal and vertical motion give similar burn paths. My 1.6W has a much better focus and the Sculpfun S9 has a great 0.08x0.08mm beam.
